"The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything but they make the most of everything."

Most Sundays I have a difficult time trying to relax because I know Monday I've got to be on my A game and instead of enjoying the day as I should I find myself anxious for the week. This Sunday I was able to wake up, snuggle on the couch and enjoy my coffee while Cyn made breakfast!

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, but Cyn could careless for it! It's always a great when she wants to surprise me with a yummy start to our day!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it starts your metabolism after a night of fasting. It's always a great way to start your day in a healthy direction!

After breakfast we took Bela for a great walk and then over to Pam & Pete's to swim in the pool! She loves the pool, and even more when Cyn holds her like a child!

Haha I couldn't resist taking a photo shoot! After a great afternoon in the water we headed home and got a lot of chores done around the house on Cyn's first school night of the year! She made delicious Steak Bombs and we watched the movie 42! We had a great day to end our amazing summer!

Tuesday my sister and I went for a beautiful 16 mile bike ride! It was a nice change of pace and great time spent with my sister! Sometimes our schedules get so crazy that we have a hard time getting together but it is so important to MAKE time!

Later I had an amazing opportunity arise. I was asked to be te new dryland Trainer for the Seals Swimming Gold Team! I am so excited for this chance to work with kids in improving their physical fitness to reach their swimming goals!

We used vegetables we bought from the Farmers market to make delicious salads! There is nothing better than FRESH veggies!

After dinner Mikayla and Brayton stopped by for a glass of wine to celebrate there opening of Maniac Crossfit this week! We are so proud of all the hard work they have put into making this dream finally a reality and wish them the best of luck! Check them out on Facebook at:www.facebook.com/ManiacCrossfit

We got them a special cake to celebrate saying : " Congrats You Maniac "

Tuesday morning I enjoyed an hour hot yoga class to get my day started! There were only 2 of us in class! It was a beautiful start to my day!

After work I went for a 20 mile bike ride from South Portland to Scarborough and through Cape Elizabeth! It was a great evening for it!

I'm not sure why it's in Spanish haha!

Wednesday I went to SJC practice and was able to finally get my COACH juices flowing! It was really good to see them play and give out constructive criticism! Coach Dodge and I were able to participate in the fitness part of practice! I really regretted not having my cleats though! Oops! We've got such a great group of girls and they said some of them read my blog, so if this is you, I'm so proud of you and feel so lucky to be apart of your season! :)

My mom and I even got in a 24 mile bike ride! We are training for the Lighthouse ride coming up next weekend! I love this woman so much!

After our ride one of my best friends from high school came for dinner! She is living in New York but came home for the weekend! It was so nice to spend some quality time with her!

Cyn made a delicious Zucchini casserole!

Thursday morning I got in a wonderful hour of hot yoga before work! I had a busy day at work, followed by a long drive to Gillette Stadium for the Giants vs.  Patriots preseason game! Cyn, my parents and I all headed down after work! We hit some traffic but finally made it and had a great time!

We had a great time and stayed in Mansfield for the night! Patriots won 28 - 20.

Friday morning we got up and headed back to Patriot Place to do some shopping before heading home! My all time favorite store is down there called Charming Charlie. It is such a cute store! It has clothing, jewerly, bags and hair accessories categorized by color! I love it!

We headed home around lunch time and got stuck in some traffic. We got home around 4 pm! We were pretty tired by the time we got home! We went to pick up Bela from Cyn's parents and ended up enjoying a nice relaxing evening with them!

Saturday morning I was up before 6:30 and conquered a killer run to get my day started. It's been a few days since I've run as I have been tryin to put in a good amount of mileage on my bike!

I did a total of 4.37 in 37:26 was pretty happy with my splits:

After my run Connie and Erin came over for some coffee and we went and checked out a few yard sales! We didn't find anything worth buying but it is fun to look around sometimes!

We grabbed some lunch to finally celebrate Erin turning 30! Gosh do I feel so lucky to have her as my best friend! Isn't she gorgeous? Love you E!

Around 1:30 Cyn, her parents and I headed to NH to pick up our pellet stove! It definitely made me feel like an adult/homeowner! What 23 year olds spend a couple thousand dollars on a pellet stove?... WE DID! And I know it will be well worth it!

Thanks to Pete, Cyn's brother we were able to put it right in the bed of his truck!

Once we got the 400 lb stove inside we Cyn and I got ready to head up to Freeport for the Summer Concert in the park with Joshua Radin. He has the most beautiful acoustic voice ever. If you haven't heard of him look him up! He sang Ellen Degeneris' wedding song.

They had to cut the show short because of lightening. But we had a really fun time!

Sunday morning Bela and I took a beautiful 2 mile walk together around the neighborhood! Then we went to my parents for breakfast! My mom made blueberry stuffed French toast. It was to die for!

Then we headed to the Sea Dogs - Field of Dreams game!

After we went to celebrate my cousin Meg's 22nd Birthday! She's so cute! Happy Birthday Meggie! We Love You!

This about sums up my week! I hope you find yourself enjoying reading my blog and I hope it gives some inspiration to staying active! Besides fitness, family is the most important thing to keep constant! I started this blog thinking it would all be about fitness and I have started to share more about my life. I hope you keep your life fun and exciting because its the only one we get. So don't waste a moment being upset or sad. This is your life. Live it how you want it with no regrets!

"Either you run the day or the day runs you." -Jim Rohn

Monday morning was welcomed in our house this week as we both have the next few days off! Cyn is enjoying her last week before heading into her 2nd year of teaching and I couldn't be more proud of her! I decided it would be a perfect time to take a few days off so we could wrap up our summer together!

We woke up and were able to enjoy a few morning television shows with some coffee! :)

Today marks my first time going back to SJC not as an athlete, but as a coach for preseason! I could not be more excited to be apart of a team again, and looking forward to my new journey on the other side of the field! Ironically Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastine & Julie Fouty just happened to be on Good Morning America! What wonderful motivation!

After the morning news I headed out for a great run in the sunshine!

Once I got back Cyn and I decided to go to the movies to see Meet The Millers! It was such a funny movie! We really enjoyed it! We got home and enjoyed a quick nap on the hammock! It was such a gorgeous afternoon!

After I got ready and headed up to Saint Joseph's College for the first session of preseason! We did a fitness session and the girls really pushed themselves. We were very impressed! I am so excited to be apart of such an amazing group of women and the best season of the year! Being 2 years out it was the first year I was coming up for soccer preseason without those nerves in my stomach! I couldn't be happier to become apart of this team! There is a new picture on the wall of my sister from her senior year! I couldn't be more proud to be back and to see her hard work paid off and she will never be forgotten in the SJCWS Program!

Tuesday morning I headed up to SJC for the second session of preseason! It was a gorgeous morning to watch the girls play for the first time!

Tuesday night we said goodbye to my Aunt whose been visiting from Florida and I taught another Boot Camp class at the Westbrook Community Center! We had a great group who were there to work hard and push themselves! I had a blast! I am really enjoying teaching fitness classes! It's such a passion for me! I feel so grateful that I am able to instruct such an amazing group of people!

Wednesday was a drop dead gorgeous day! After a busy day at work Cyn and I went over to her parents for a swim and some dinner! We ended up having an awesome fire! Cyn cooked up an old Christmas tree they had in the backyard! Hahah!

It couldn't have been a nicer summer night! We are so lucky to be so close to both of our families!

Thursday morning started with an hour of Hot Yoga! It is always the best start to my day!

After a busy day of travel I headed up to SJC for a team meeting with the girls! They were picking out Jerseys and it was sad to see my number knowing I'd NEVER wear it again! But it sparked a Throwback Thursday Photo! Boy does time fly! I miss playing so much! But I had an incredible 4 years! I feel so grateful that I was able to play and meet such amazing young women along the way!

Such a hot day turned into a gorgeous evening! I decided to walk down to my boot camp which is just over a mile! I figured if my class sees their teacher working out it will motivate them even more. As I was walking I came up with a funny saying: "get fit or die trying" SO TRUE! We might as well work our butts off our entire life to be healthy and fit to live a long life than just give up. It's all worth the effort! I promise you!

It was so nice I held class outside. I was so proud of these 4 hard working women who pushed through class wish the beautiful fresh air breeze every so often!

Friday morning it was up at dark 30 as I taught the Train Your Inner Athlete class. We had a great group of participants and I felt so lucky to be their teacher! It was a tough workout, but what better way to start your Friday with pure cardio circuits?!?! I snapped a quick shot while they were working hard!

After class I headed up to SJC for the morning session! It was so peaceful to be the first person on the field!

After a busy day at work I came home and still found the energy to go for a run! I always feel like a million bucks once I finish! Remember: either you run the day, or the day runs you! I chose to run my day by dominating my workout after a long day!

I came home to the hammock all set up for a nice little snuggle with my girls!

We all got up on the hammock together!

Erin came over for burgers on the grill!

Then my parents and sister came over to join us for ladder golf & a fire!

Cyn made Strawberry Rhubarb Dump Cake! It was so yummy! Especially because it was fresh Rhubarb she picked earlier with my grandmother!

Everyone loved the outdoor couch Cyn made!

Even Pam and Joey came over! I think he REALLY loves the couch! Haha

Saturday morning we got up and went to the Farmers Market at Deering Oaks! It was such a beautiful morning to go and get some fresh veggies!

Later in the afternoon we went to Cyn's parents for a swim! Bela got to really 'chill' out!

She's such a little snuggle buddy!

Bela gave Grammy lots of lovin' :)

Pamny caught us being silly in the water!

Later we went to a Wine Tasting Party!

We had a great time and continued the party out with Murph and her sister Nicole!

Murph and I never take pictures tonight so we finally got one tonight!

And a few of Cyn and Nicole!

We headed home and we had Murph and Nicole over to hang out after! We stayed up until 3 AM hanging out with Nicole and it was so much fun! We love having visitors and it was so nice to spend time with her!

Sunday morning were up and enjoying coffee and getting ready for a relaxing day before Cyn heads back to school tomorrow! We had such a busy first summer in our home an I wouldn't have had it any other way! We got so much done and still found time to relax! I am so proud of her for working so hard this summer and excited for her second year of teaching!

I know some of my posts have veered away form just fitness but I am at an amazing point in my life where we are just trying to enjoy it and I thought, why not share it!

Fitness is a huge part of the person I am and the lifestyle I have! I can get a little crazy without it and the feeling once you are done with a good, tough workout is like nothing else! Life is about doing what makes you happy and exercising definitely makes me happy! As Jim Rohn says: "either you run the day, or the day runs you!" I CHOOSE to run my days when it comes to exercise, work and getting anything accomplished, because who wants to spend there life trying to catch up with everything else surrounding them?! Get out there and live your life to its fullest! Have fun and be positive because this is the only August 25th 2013 there will EVER be!

Have a good week & Live Your Life!
