“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” —Henry David Thoreau

Alright Alright, I admit my Monday was definitely on the slower side this week! I read on Twitter that the average person is only productive for 3.5 hours on Mondays. Pretty crazy to think about! Monday gets a pretty bad wrap but its the beginning of a new week - new opportunity - new chance to start over, or continue working hard depending where you might be in your journey!

I had such a busy & exciting weekend in Bar Harbor that it had me waking up wanting the weekend... ALREADY! We spend so much time wishing and hoping for things to happen in our lives that we miss out on so much right in front of us in the present moment! Part of growing up is learning to stop wishing/ wanting everything those around you have and to start appreciating what you have!

I have these moments of clarity all the time and Monday I had it while walking my 5.2 mile loop. I figured walking would be good to losen up my hiking muscles for this weekend!

Tuesday was an early morning for Cyn and I. We were up at 4 and both had a tough time falling back asleep! I decided what better way to start the day than with some hot yoga at GPY! My body definitely needed it!

I had a crazy busy day and after work Cyn & I packed up the car to leave Wednesday after work to Waterville for the night! I picked up a yummy treat while I was out picking up last minute stuff! Yum! Smiling Hill is my favorite but I must admit I was NOT disappointed!

Wednesday morning felt like fall. The crisp air made me feel like it was soccer season! I headed out for a beautiful run to get the day started!

We had a beautiful afternoon for a drive! After work Cyn and I headed to Waterville for the night!

We spent the night playing with Cameron!

We even went to ice cream to celebrate Craig's Birthday!

Wow! Happy 1st day of August and Happy 29th Birthday to one of my best friends Meg Myles! I'm sorry we couldn't be around to top last years bday with you but we will definitely be partying soon! I put together a few pictures over the last year! We love you and are so lucky to have you in our lives! We LOVE you!

Cyn and I woke up early to continue our trek to Katahdin for the next 4 days! I was so excited to get away from social media, emails and just completely engaged in Family time! :)

We got to our Cabin around 1:30 and met up with my parents!

We unpacked and went for a canoe!

It was absolutely gorgeous! We got back made dinner and Mik and Brayton arrived! We spent the night relaxing outside with the sky filled with stars! Such a great start to our trip!

Mom even did some yoga!

Friday we woke up and the celebration began! We didn't let the rain ruin our fun! We surprised my Mom with a bunch of gifts to celebrate her 50th Birthday!

We even went for a swim in the rain! It finally cleared up in the afternoon and we went out for a canoe and hike to gear up for Saturdays hike!

Saturday morning we woke up and saw a gorgeous sunrise!

All 6 of us at the start!

We headed up the Hunt Trail to the Summit of Mt. Katahdin.

About a mile in we were still ALL smiles!

Still smiling before the storm hit! 3 very happy couples! :)

We made it to the top! The one and only picture we took due to the rain/wind/hail!

After 12 hours of climbing through the rain, hail and wind we made it back to the cabin! We were all exhausted but felt extremely strong and accomplished! Definitely a weekend none of us will ever forget! We've become a closer family because of the experience and I couldn't feel anymore blessed to have the family and support system that I do! They say a family who works out together, stays together! :)
