The pellet stove is in full swing and has been kicking on itself when it drops below the thermostat! We LOVE it!
My body was feeling sore and tired this morning so I decided an hour of hot yoga should fix that! Boy was I right! Walking out of the studio I felt 10 times better than it did when I walked in!
For lunch I made a banana & peanut butter smoothie! Yum! Super easy and I added a little milk and flaxseed!
After work I went up to SJC for practice! It was great to be back with the first team! They are a great group of hard workers!
I headed home for our usual Monday night dinner with Pammy! We're lucky Cyn is such a chef. We were all cuddled up on the couch after dinner! I couldn't believe how dark it was at 6:45. We were talking about bed by 7:30! It's crazy!
I bought some Yogi tea to try and tonight was a perfect night for try it out in my favorite mug! "Empty yourself and let the universe fill you."
Tuesday morning I hit the pavement! Not my best splits, but I wanted to post them to show we all have rough days. Some days you feel like you're flying, others it's like you're going at a snails pace.
After work I had 2 training classes and Cyn and I decided to go to Chipolte for a date! How romantic? Ha! We have to find time when we can as both of our schedules are busy, and just getting more busy! It was just what we needed! I always choose the salad with chicken reducing the carb intake and adding veggies! Mmmmm!
We got home in time to watch The Biggest Loser and snuggle with our baby Bela! :)
Wednesday was a crisp beautiful fall day! I started with a 5 miler with my sister! It's always so fun running with someone. It makes the miles fly by! We got to talk about our training schedule for the marathon! I'm very excited!
After work I headed up to SJC for our home game! They played well and are looking strong as playoffs are right around the corner! They won 2-1!
I headed home to find this cute note at the door!
It was different to come home to a quiet house, but Bela and I had a nice relaxing few hours while Cyn was out with my sister! They came home with dinner and we watched the Sox game! Bel and Cyn cuddled up on the couch! How did I get so lucky?
Thursday morning I made eggs for breakfast and got out for another 8 miler! It was the first COLD run I've had!
After my run I tried a new yogurt that is now my favorite flavor! Yum! You must try it!
After work I had 3 training session back to back then date night with Peter! I picked him up and we headed to see Auntie at school and look at the book fair! He picked out some really great stuff! He even got to play in the art room! He was very excited that this would be his school next year! Once Cyn was done at school we went to Dairy Queen for some burgers and ice cream! It was the best date night ever!
Friday we were up and out! As I was pulling out of the driveway I snapped a quick shot of the sunrise peeking through and shining on the horse farm! So pretty!
I had a great yoga class to wrap up my Friday! I headed home and we had some SJC Softball girls over for dinner and a fire! We had a great night catching up! It was way overdue! We hope to make it more of a regular thing!
Saturday morning we were able to (FINALLY) sleep in! We had a lazy day around the house and went to my parents for dinner to carve pumpkins and have a going away party for my sister Mikayla! She leaves 10/31 for Army Officer Training! We had so much fun carving!
Cyn and I picked the spider in a web! It was very tedious but well worth it!
The night obviously turned into a dance party after dinner! What else would you expect?!
Sunday morning Cyn and I headed to Bradbury Mountain, as it will probably be out last hike of the Fall! It was a gorgeous morning!
We got home in time for Football! Cyn had put a pork butt in the crock pot all morning for lunch, then Pam and Pete came over for Nachos later! We had a relaxing afternoon with Bel and Cyn got all of her hunting gear aired out for opening day next weekend! Very relaxing and productive weekend!
"Every moment is your opportunity to live more fully than you've ever lived before." The past couple weeks have been a roller coaster and each day I have tried to remind myself this. It ties into my weekly quote perfectly because you have to appreciate every moment. You never know when it might be your last. There is no reason to spend YOUR life unhappy. Appreciate. Celebrate. Enjoy. Do not doubt your ability to be what you've always dreamed because YOU CAN! Push yourself, but more importantly love the person you are becoming!
Sometimes we all need a Reminder to:
